Defend Workers Rights!
A group of local TCRC Officers, from various locations, were recently motivated by the injustice served on the TCRC membership through the Minister of Labour’s return to work directive issued on August 22nd.
Starting with several protests across the country on Labour Day, this group has been actively pursuing various grassroots initiatives to highlight the government’s readiness to prioritize political interests over national labour concerns, and undermine Canadians’ fundamental right to strike in the process. Although this effort was not initiated by the National Office, the TCRC proudly supports their latest measure to petition the Federal Government to honour the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and commit to not referring labour disputes to a third party. We commend their efforts and proudly provide the information to sign the petition below.
