Legislation & Regulations
Federally regulated employees fall under the Canada Labour Code and Canadian Human Rights Act, while railway workers also follow the Railway Safety Act. In Ontario, provincially regulated employees are governed by the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, and Ontario Human Rights Code. Additionally, Ontario has three provincial acts specific to railways.
